Chef Madan Lal is a professionally trained chef with over a decade of international culinary experience, specializing in Indian cuisine, wellness cooking, and educational culinary programs. His journey began in India, where he developed a deep respect for traditional flavours, spices, and age-old food wisdom.

He further refined his skills while working in Singapore’s dynamic culinary scene before settling in Edmonton, Canada. Chef Madan Lal is a Red Seal–certified Cook in Canada, with formal culinary education from both India and Alberta. He has worked as a Senior Executive Sous Chef, leading professional kitchens and mentoring culinary teams while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety. Beyond restaurants, Chef Madan Lal is widely known for his engaging cooking classes, culinary workshops, and community-based food programs across Edmonton. He regularly collaborates with public libraries, community centres, cultural organizations, cafés, and private groups, making global flavours approachable for home cooks of all skill levels. A passionate advocate for food as medicine, Chef Madan Lal draws inspiration from Ayurveda and traditional spice knowledge.
